Ryan Gardiner, a freestyle bmx rider with a number of competition titles under his belt, has been riding bikes his entire life. Not one to shirk a challenge, Ryan jumped on the five wheeled StreetSurfer a couple of years ago while working at a local bike shop, and has since become our regular demo rider and stunt master.

The stand out feature for Ryan is the support offered by the unique suspension system; it’s much easier to negotiate landings when there’s something to cushion the blow! In addition, Ryan credits the stability & maneuverability of the Surfer for assisting with aerials and difficult bmx style tricks.

Ryan has tested the Surfer on race tracks, skate parks and freestyle ramps and has even had it in the foam pit to practice the more daring stunts before hitting the asphalt. You can check out some of Ryan’s handiwork in the StreetSurfer promo dvd on the homepage of this website.

Fleur Crowe, a self-confessed greenie and fitness fanatic, embarked on the journey of her life in 2006 when she loaded up her bicycle for a five month tour of Europe. In preparation for this memorable 4,500km journey, Fleur designed a recumbent bike (dubbed ‘Patience’) fitted with StreetSurfer’s patented polymer suspension system to deliver a comfortable ride in all conditions.

Fleur says, “It was reassuring to know that I could ride downhill at top speed and the suspension would be able to handle any unexpected changes in the road surface. Not even a flick of the steering is felt with the largest of bumps – and that’s with a full touring load to boot!”
